IV CURCUMIN

Curcumin is derived from the Indian spice, Curcuma longa (aka turmeric). Turmeric is one of the oldest traditional spices and has been consumed for thousands of years. There is likely more research on curcumin’s anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties than any other substance in the world. One limitation of turmeric is that it only contains around 3% curcumin which is not a water-soluble molecule. Therefore, curcumin needs to be concentrated and solubilized to get the maximum benefits from this compound. IV curcumin does just that.

IV curcumin targets cancer stem cells—something that chemotherapy does not. It has also been shown to increase the efficacy of chemotherapy as well as fight cancer on its own by downregulating NF-kappa-b, a signaling molecule that causes tumor tissue to create pro-inflammatory molecules that result in tumorigenesis. This is why curcumin is also an excellent choice for other pro-inflammatory conditions like musculoskeletal pain, traumatic brain injuries and autoimmune disease.

IV Curcumin is likely going to be one the most sought-after integrative cancer treatments as more and more research comes out in vivo studies. We are proud to be able to offer this at the Center for Integrative Medicine along with other therapies like IV ozone.
